The Future Is in Your Lands: webinar

online only (Map)Join Conservancy founding board member Sally Zaino for an informative session on how Manada Conservancy partners with and empowers landowners to protect their lands for future generations. We will discuss many of the important reasons behind the “why” of land protection: water quality protections, carbon sequestration, flood control, habitat, recreational value, connectivity.
You’ll leave this session with perspective on what land protection means to us all, what land trusts do, and a little more understanding of the actual land protection process used by Manada Conservancy.

Breeding Bird Blitz

Join Manada Conservancy again this year for the PA Society of Ornithology's Breeding Bird Blitz! This is a chance for both those new to birding and experienced birders to head outside, look at birds, and record what they see. This is citizen science at its best, gathering data about what birds are breeding in our area while enjoying time outdoors.
Manada Conservancy's team--the Manada Bird-brains--will be at it again, visiting some new and interesting sites. This is also a chance to help advance the habitat protection work of several conservation groups. We have benefitted from this program in the past and love to support others who are protecting important bird habitat.
We will develop a schedule of times and locations as June approaches. If you are interested in participating on a walk or leading a walk, please contact Sally Zaino at szaino@manada.org. Donations to the Manada Bird-brains team can be made here.
